If you do not know the place, this is one of Arendal’s finest sites, with sun all day and beautiful views to the sea and the beach. Lots of people hike in this area  every year. Now both hikers and guests at Canvas Hove have a good reason to stop here. Now you can enjoy lunch or dinner here. Or enjoy a cup of coffee.

The restaurant is open every day in summer and the kitchen is open from 13-20. Monday through Thursday we drive a reduced a la carte menu, Friday and Saturday full a la carte and Sunday there is a buffet.

Chef Frode Laupsa has returned to Sørlandet after 22 years in Oslo exile, where he opened the Michelin restaurant Restaurant Oscarsgate. He has worked as a food consultant at the Culinary Academy, cook at the food-mecca Palace Grill and is a former member of the Norwegian cookery team. Frode Laupsa is now driving all the food offers on Canvas Hove and Canvas Telemark. We promise you a quality meal with a lot of short travelled ingredients, good prices and quality-conscious chefs.

In the morning we serve a buffet breakfast in the kiosk “Cuba”. In known Canvas-style, the guests themselves participate in the grilling of eggs and bacon!
