Here is an overview of how the camp works. We are at the very beginning of this adventure and ask for understanding that not everything works exactly as planned yet. We promise to find good solutions for our guests.
How do I get there?
Canvas Hove is beautifully situated all the way to the sea on Tromøya near Arendal. The address is Hoveodden 200, 4818 FÆRVIK. There is a large car park at the end of Hoveodden where parking is free. The reception is 150 meters away along the beach. If you have a lot of luggage, leave it in the car and you can borrow an electric bike or cart from us to collect it. We want to make your stay on Canvas Hove an outdoor experience. Therefore, we strive to keep the area a car-free zone.
Cuba is the name of the reception. This is also the kiosk, activity center and the wellness department at Canvas Hove. Here you can buy ice cream, sausages and beverages. You can also rent SUP, glass bottom canoes, or opt for the ongoing guide-led activities. Outside the kiosk there is a lovely sauna with a sea view and wood-fired hot-tubs and an ice bath.
Opens on request outside main season. Please send us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org

Most of our guests are supposed to come to Canvas Hove to play, run exciting activities and get close to the elements. Our activities are at the center of our concept. The activity center is located together with the kiosk. You will find a rich activity menu and rental of sports equipment. The activities we offer in 2019 are SUP, glass bottom canoe, underwater safari, electric mountain biking, trimaran sailing and snorkeling. We will also arrange courses and private lessons in windsurfing.
Shower / WC
There are two toilets and three showers at “Cuba”. In addition, there are many showers and toilets in the sanitary building under the restaurant. There are private family bathrooms at the same place, where you need a token to shower. The token is available in the reception “Cuba”.
At Canvas Hove there are five self-designed mobile outdoor kitchens that can be moved wherever you want them. The outdoor kitchen contains a wood-burning stove with grill plate, fridge and table and chairs for 8-10 people. Renting the outdoor kitchen for yourself costs 750 NOK per day.
